A collective of bibliophiles talking about books. Book Fox (vulpes libris): small bibliovorous mammal of overactive imagination and uncommonly large bookshop expenses. Habitat: anywhere the rustle of pages can be heard.
So that’s it, more or less. Another year gone and the Book Foxes dispersing to their home dens to celebrate the season with their families and friends, eat themselves into a food coma and/or pull up the drawbridge, take the telephone off the hook and retreat from the world for a while.
We’ll re-emerge, blinking, into the daylight of 2016 on the 3rd of January.
It only remains for all of us to wish all of you and peaceful and happy holiday season and to leave you with this small gift.
At some point this week, make an hour long space in your life to sit down with a mince pie and little glass of what you fancy and watch the perfect Christmas combination of Dylan Thomas and the incomparable Denholm Elliott.
You won’t be sorry. (And you’re very welcome.)
