Vulpes Libris

A collective of bibliophiles talking about books. Book Fox (vulpes libris): small bibliovorous mammal of overactive imagination and uncommonly large bookshop expenses. Habitat: anywhere the rustle of pages can be heard.

Coming Up This Week, which also includes our anniversary

It’s a big week here on VL, not only do we have a lot of variety in our posts this week, but it’s also our anniversary, which we will be celebrating on Friday. We hope you’ll come to our (online) party. In the meantime, we have pieces on everything from real estate, retro music, science and Native Americans. How’s that for a range of topics?

Monday- Jackie delves into meanings and memories of two favorite animal songs from her childhood. Tune in to see what they are.

Tuesday- Simon explains how Oliver Sacks is the scientist for science-haters.

Wednesday- Hilary reminds herself that estate agents’ ads can be unintentionally – and intentionally – hilarious.

Thursday- Kate gobbles up Susan Cooper’s new novel about native Americans and the immigrant English, and thinks she may need to chew more slowly.

Friday- A special post marking VL’s 6th Anniversary

Thanks Michel, you are such a kind man. I’ll send a reminder for the anniversary post to you, OK? The little owl is a small painting, 11 in. by 14 in. which makes the owl itself nearly life size!
