Vulpes Libris

A collective of bibliophiles talking about books. Book Fox (vulpes libris): small bibliovorous mammal of overactive imagination and uncommonly large bookshop expenses. Habitat: anywhere the rustle of pages can be heard.

It’s Romance Week on Vulpes Libris …

foxy love

Never let it be said that we grumpy old Foxes don’t have our mushy side, and to prove it – it’s Romance Week on Vulpes Libris (‘And about time too’, I plainly hear some of you saying testily and rather more loudly than is strictly necessary …).

We have tulle, biscuits, Formula 1, Eve Dallas, the immortal Georgette Heyer AND Richard Armitage  … What MORE could a girl want?

Coming up, for your edification and delight …

Monday: Jackie looks at the popular In Death series by Nora Roberts writing as J.D. Robb.

Tuesday: VL ‘It’ girl Ticky Dogge-Hare talks to novelist Rhoda Baxter about men, ghosts and biscuits.

Wednesday: Kate Lace fan Hilary is looking forward to her take on a Gypsy Wedding.*

Thursday:  The newly installed Vice-Chair of the Romantic Novelists’ Association – Sue Moorcroft – chats with Moira about  the RNA, the many faces of romance and the rapidly changing publishing landscape. Narcolepsy and Formula 1 will also make guest appearances.

Friday: Kirsty and Hilary compare the pleasures of reading and listening to Georgette Heyer’s The Convenient Marriage.

* (and fighting her way through miles of billowing tulle …?)
