Vulpes Libris

A collective of bibliophiles talking about books. Book Fox (vulpes libris): small bibliovorous mammal of overactive imagination and uncommonly large bookshop expenses. Habitat: anywhere the rustle of pages can be heard.

Coming up this week on Vulpes Libris …

Fox Games by Sandy Skoglund

Once again, without even breaking into a mild glow, the Foxes have proved what raving individualists they are by galloping off in all sorts of directions at once, thus defying any and all attempts to summarize the coming attractions with a pat “And this week we are …”. So we bring you Rembrandt, Singapore, a Young Adult author (who isn’t necessarily a Young Adult himself, you understand …) and, to round it all off in fine theatrical fashion, a nice touch of the Jacobeans.

Monday: Jackie muses on her favourite Rembrandt painting, which might surprise you.

Wednesday: Kate revisits Singapore with a taut novel of multiple viewpoints.

Thursday: Guest poster Kathleen Holly Marsh raves about YA author John Green.

Friday: It’s Leena and The Jacobeans.

I like this photo. The foxes look as if they are carousing, but made of chocolate.
