Vulpes Libris

A collective of bibliophiles talking about books. Book Fox (vulpes libris): small bibliovorous mammal of overactive imagination and uncommonly large bookshop expenses. Habitat: anywhere the rustle of pages can be heard.

Coming Up on Vulpes Libris

We’ve been wanting to bring you something on Screenwriting for a long time and finally this week, RosyB – our screenwriter in residence – has a thoughtful (and hilarious) article on the subject. We also have eerie short stories, Young Adult novels and a guide to writing Romance.

Monday: Wondered why RosyB has been rather quieter than usual over the last few months? (Not noticed?) All will be revealed as she takes us through the trials and tribulations of writing a screenplay.

Wednesday: Is Moira considering a whole new career? For the last week, she’s had her nose stuck in the new edition of Kate Walker’s 12 point Guide to Writing Romance.

Friday: Anne takes a look at a creepy collection of short stories ideal for winter in The New Uncanny, ed Sarah Eyre & Ra Page.

Saturday: Eve is back with a review of a Young Adult novel.

Today’s picture of the ring-tailed lemur (copyright: me) is inspired by Anne’s review of uncanny tails (sorry).

What a nice photo of a lemur, with the head turned & the long tail. Lemurs are one of the most enjoyable animals to watch at zoos, so it was great seeing one from yours.
