Vulpes Libris

A collective of bibliophiles talking about books. Book Fox (vulpes libris): small bibliovorous mammal of overactive imagination and uncommonly large bookshop expenses. Habitat: anywhere the rustle of pages can be heard.

The Great Gone-Away Giveaway!

Gone-Away GiveawayLaydeez and Gennlemen!! Roll up, roll up for Vulpes Libris’ second Great Book Giveway!!

William Heinemann have very generously donated not one, but TWO – count ’em, TWO – first edition, hardback copies of Nick Harkaway’s extraordinary debut novel The Gone-Away World (reviewed by yours truly HERE) and if they aren’t future collectibles, I’ll eat my hat (or possibly a Mars bar … or some nice rose creams …).

If you want to be in with a chance of winning a copy, just post a comment on this thread before 10.00am BST on Sunday (nothing witty or erudite is necessary – “Me! Me! Choose me!” will do just fine), and the winners will be the first two names chosen at random by my dear old Mum, who thinks I’m slightly loopy, but quite nice really …

As ever, Book Foxes are ineligible for entry into the draw. False moustaches and funny voices will avail you nothing.

I am so shameless, having just failed to get another book, here I am commenting again in the hope of getting something free. Shameless but, clearly, hopeful.
