Well, until yesterday the whole week was beginning to look like a rather interesting-looking theme week called “Something Week” – with various people promising to do “something” but not wanting to get too specific about what that “something” might be.
Thankfully, everyone came through in the end apart from me, who has promised a slightly vague and fuzzy-round-the-edges sort of “something” for Fri. But heigh – Friday is a long way off. I will have it sorted by then. Think of it as a bit of mystery to inject some tension into proceedings. To keep our readers’ brains questioning and alert. Yes, I am doing it for brain training purposes. Nothing to do with my general disorganisation and inability to make decisions – oh no no no! It is a Strategic Move. Designed to hook you and reel you in like a load of wiggling fishes. I am nobly keeping schtum for the sake of the blog.
Ahem.
Right. So, for your delight and delectation – here’s what we have coming up on “Something Week”.
Monday
Lovely to see Sharon back, sampling the first in a new series set in contemporary London.
Wednesday
Hilary is not sure she quite believes in the modernism of Alexandra Harris’s Romantic Moderns.
Thursday
Nikki considers Sadie Jones’s second novel, Small Wars.
Friday
A thoughtful, considered and probably life-altering piece from RosyB on…something. (Although she reserves the right to change her mind at the last minute and make it not about anything at all).
See, you’re already on the edge of your seats already, aren’t you? Aren’t you? Well. You’ll just have to wait.
See you then.

Can’t wait, Rosy! Something tells me it’s going to be good!
