This week the Foxes are looking closely and with much enthusiasm at The Archers, Chinese New Year, history, the joy of fonts and alternative realities, so it’s an exciting and colourful week with a little something for all.
Monday: Moira chats with actor Tim Bentinck who steps out from behind his radio persona of David Archer to talk about Dan Dare, monitoring a fictional death on Twitter and page-turning on the iPad – amongst many other things.
Tuesday: Jackie celebrates the Lunar New Year with a look at Chinese Painting by James Cahill.
Wednesday: Hilary takes a jolly tour from Gutenberg to Comic Sans with Simon Garfield’s Just My Type.
Thursday: Anne gets in touch with her nasty and nice sides in her response to Philippa Gregory’s The Other Queen.
Friday: Sharon enjoys a taste of Jasper Fforde’s alternative reality in The Eyre Affair.
This glorious photograph, Chinese New Year by Leagun can be found on stock.xchng, the free stock photography site, and is used by kind permission of the artist.

Very much looking forward to this week! There’s a couple of books there I’ve read so I’m looking forward to your opinions on them.
Me too, Nikki – should be interesting!
What a splendid photo, I really like the colors & sense of motion.
Looking forward to Hilary’s book on Wednesday, it’s nice to know other people pay attention to font, too.
Yes, the colours are great – and I’m looking forward to fonts too!
