I found it intriguing that Mr. Enfield, a comedian, has read 'everything' on WW1, a tragedy. That hints at untold depths. It's also curious that he thinks "The Simpsons" are more intellectual than say, "Monty Python" or Eddie Izzard, who use literary and historical references liberally. And all Larry David does is whine, so I don't find him funny at all. Mr. Enfield was much funnier in this interview than Larry David has ever been, so I think he underestimates British comedy.
